A Message from Our Principal

It is with heartfelt gratitude and great pride that I introduce myself as the principal of Dinwiddie High School. As a proud graduate of DHS, a longtime resident of Dinwiddie County, and now the first alumnus to serve in this role, I consider it both an honor and a privilege to lead the school that helped shape the person I am today.

Dinwiddie High School is more than just a place of learning—it’s a vital part of our neighborhood, a heartbeat of our county, and a proud symbol of who we are. When we say Navy Nation, we’re talking about more than school colors or spirit days. We’re talking about a community where people show up for one another. We’re talking about the nights on the athletic fields and showcases in our school that bring generations together. We are talking about classrooms that shape futures, and hallways filled with potential.

Like any strong neighborhood, our school thrives when relationships are strong and when every person feels a sense of belonging and purpose. I am committed to embracing a school culture where every student is supported, every staff member is valued, and every family feels welcome. At DHS, we understand the importance of academic success. Academic success is more than just a goal—it's a reflection of effort, consistency, and learning. Together, we are building a community where presence matters, effort is expected, and excellence is achieved.

As a neighbor, an educator, and a proud General, I’m excited to partner with you to ensure that Dinwiddie High School continues to be a place of pride and progress. I look forward to serving this incredible school and community, and I’m truly honored to serve and call Navy Nation my home!
With appreciation and commitment,
Mrs. K. Bailey
