A Message from Our Principal

DHS Students, Parents, and Community,

It is an exciting time in Education. We have the wonderful opportunity to educate our students in a new way during the 2022-2023 school year by focusing on the needs of every student while making them feel valued. It is still my hope that any person who has the opportunity to grace the halls of Dinwiddie High School would soon come to the realization that our school is a place for students to be safe, learn, grow, explore, and begin to establish their futures in a magnificent way. I also still believe that every child has talent, special qualities, and can learn if given time, proper resources, and support.

Respect, Responsibility, Accountability, and Scholarship will be our components of excellence as we seek all opportunities for growth and goal attainment.

My commitment to serving students, staff, and the community with integrity and dignity is still my greatest mission. Preparing our students to develop plans for life beyond Dinwiddie High School is at the heart of our mission. Teaching them by example to be good citizens who will contribute in a positive manner to the world in which they live is imperative. We want our students to know that we see them, we affirm them, and we encourage them to achieve their dreams.

While we continue to be a school where we are One FAMILY building excellence; we still Choose Greatness. We will continue to strive to be trailblazers who will lead the way in new methods of teaching and learning. We will go the distance in all we do with Navy Nation Pride!

Mr. Robbie M. Garnes
