Mar. 3 – DHS Students Attend DECA State Leadership Conference

The DECA State Leadership Conference was held Friday, March 1 – Sunday, March 3 in Virginia Beach. Dinwiddie DECA won the Blue Chip Annual Report Award for their chapter activities and events and received a chapter trophy. It was only a handful of chapters that received this highest points award.

R.J. Rhodes also placed as a finalist in the Business Services Marketing area. Other Dinwiddie DECA members that participated in the state competition that won their district events are:  Quick-Service Restaurant Marketing: Arieana Akintomide and MaLeigha Booker, Automotive Services Marketing, Brian Wilkins;  Apparel and Accessories, Timiyah Spratley, Selling, Justin Gregory and Marketing Communications, Indigo Peterson.

Each DECA student had to complete a 100 question test and participate in two role plays in their occupational area.
