Important Graduation Announcement

Dinwiddie High School will hold its Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 12, at 9 a.m. The event will be a drive through type ceremony where the students will be able to get out of the vehicle and cross the stage to receive his/her diploma while your family watches from the vehicle. More detailed information will be shared in the coming weeks about the exact process and directions for that day. We are also working to have the ceremony made available on a radio station as well a live stream video.

We appreciate the patience and support from our families as we work through these details and plans. The Graduation Committee and administration are working very hard to make this day special for our seniors! While we know this isn’t the event we all had hoped for, we are trying to be creative as we follow all of the requirements and guidelines that must be adhered to for everyone’s health and safety.

Mr. Garnes sent out a robo call to seniors’ families this afternoon (May 13, 2020).  In addition, a letter has been emailed to seniors and a hard copy will be mailed to each family’s home. This message contains information about graduation and important upcoming dates for students to pick up and/or return materials to the school.
