Score With a Good Book!

On  March 18, 2021, a group of student athletes reached out to students at Midway Elementary, Southside Elementary and Sutherland Elementary for “reading time”.  The event was organized by Director of Student Activities Bradley Atkins and Reading Specialist Margaret George.  The athletes were able to log on to live sessions via their school Chromebook and talk to students about the importance of teamwork, as well as the importance of reading and doing well in school.  Elementary students enjoyed listening to the high schooler’s read books and were able to ask all kinds of questions!    Some of these high school athletes are pictured below, but we thank all of them that participated in this awesome event.
