Mar. 11: Reverse Career Fair
Second Annual Reverse Career Fair
The Crater Region school districts conducted the second annual Reverse Career Fair on March 11, 2022. Due to restrictions of the pandemic last year, it was conducted solely as a virtual event. This year the Reverse Career Fair was an in-person event, hosted by Tyler Becoming Brightpoint and the Career and Education Consortium.
Students from six area schools brought presentation boards, resumes and positive attitudes to impress the business partners in hopes of receiving an interview request. Representatives from 20 area businesses attended with the purpose of interacting with students to identify potential future employees. A virtual website was also developed to allow those business partners that were not able to attend the in-person event an opportunity to review student resumes and profiles. Once all businesses have submitted their requests for interviews, the applicable school districts will facilitate arranging the interviews. This process will culminate in the Crater Region CTE Signing Day, scheduled for May 13, 2022 at Tyler Becoming Brightpoint.
Dinwiddie High School had 21 students participate in the Reverse Career Fair. Good luck to all the participating students!
